about nhpr
New Hope Pet Rescue's long term goals are to continue to find loving families for homeless dogs and cats as well as assist people in the community with their personal animals. In addition, we continue to educate the public on the importance of spaying and neutering their pets as well as proper pet care. We will continue to work with other shelters to reduce the amount of animals killed in overcrowded shelters each day. We look forward to a day when no animal will be without a loving family!
foster-based
NHPR is a foster-based rescue, which means that we don't have a physical facility that houses our pets. Rather, we rely on our team of dedicated, passionate fosters to house, care for and love our adoptable pets in their homes until they meet their forever families.
good dog certified
We are proud to be a certified Good Dog rescue/shelter. This certification recognizes our commitment to the Good Dog values: animal care & wellbeing, ending pet homelessness, and transparent financial practices. Through this partnership, we're also able to offer exclusive perks to our fosters and adopters.
501C(3) rescue
NHPR is a 501c3 rescue. All donations that are made to our mission can be written off. We do rely on donations and can't save lives without them. In the year 2019 New Hope Pet Rescue successfully placed 830 dogs, puppies, cats, and kittens into their forever homes.
Meet the nhpr staff
NHPR's dedicated volunteer staff help with all things rescue behind the scenes. From coordinating incoming transports of animals in need, to putting together events and fundraisers, to supporting our incredible team of fosters, these passionate humans do it all - each as volunteers, each on top of their busy, full-time gigs and lives.
