friends for seniors program

Too often, senior dogs are overlooked at the shelter and in rescue for their age, but we know that these special pups come with perks of their own - they often know basic commands, come fully vetted, know the ropes of being a family dog, don't need as much exercise, and just need a loving home where they can spend the rest of their days. NHPR's Friends for Seniors program is designed to connect individuals over 60 with our "senior" pups in rescue (those over 5 years old), with one very special bonus - a WAIVED adoption fee.
